LIMRA values your trust and is committed to the privacy and security of the information you provide online. This ExSel Privacy Policy outlines the privacy and security practices that govern use of the ExSel Web site (“Site”) and the Services provided herein. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) by reference, and every registered user must accept the Agreement in order to use the ExSel system.

LIMRA created this Privacy Policy in order to document and communicate its commitment to doing business with the highest ethical standards and appropriate internal controls. Please read this Policy before using ExSel. The terms “LIMRA's Assessment Hub", "ExSel", “us”, “we,” or “our” refers to LL Global, Inc., the legal name of the owner of the Web site. The term “you” refers to a visitor to this Site, a Client User, or a Test Taker, unless otherwise specified. The term “Client Users” refers to employees and authorized contracted representatives of the client, and the term “Test Takers” refers to job seekers or other individuals who are asked to complete tests or questionnaires. The term “Subscribing Organization” refers to a business or other entity that retains our Services and directs Client Users or Test Takers to this Site to use our Services.

What information does ExSel collect?

Personally Identifiable Information

Personally identifiable information is information that may be used to identify a unique individual person, such as name, address, date of birth, or Social Security number. We only collect personally identifiable information about you with your knowledge based on your initiation.
• For example, you may send us an email regarding the Services provided by this Site. Any personally identifiable information we may collect as a result of such a transaction would be information you affirmatively provide us, including name, email address, contact information, or other personally identifiable information.
• Likewise, we collect personally identifiable information from Test Takers during registration for and use of the Services.
• We may also collect personally identifiable information, such as name, email address, and contact information, from Client Users during their registration for and usage of the Site. For example, while some Client Users may provide work email addresses and contact information, other Client Users may provide home addresses or personal contact information.

Personally identifiable information that may be collected by this Site includes, but is not limited to, name, address, contact information, Social Security numbers or other country-specific unique identifying codes, and demographic information. Some of the information ExSel collects is of a personal or sensitive nature. You may choose not to provide certain demographic information. Personal identifiers such as Social Security number may be optional in certain instances. Other information, such as name and email address or phone number, may be required in order to use ExSel. We will indicate what personally identifiable information is optional at the point of collection.

Personal Information

Furthermore, Test Takers may be required to provide personal information as part of the assessment process. Depending on what questionnaire is being completed, Test Takers may be required to provide personal information as part of the assessment. Some questionnaires may yield answers that collect personal, but not personally identifiable, information, including but not limited to, employment status, education history, income range, insurance held by a Test Taker, and employment history.

Nonpersonally Identifiable Information

We may gather and store aggregate, nonpersonally identifiable information about you. The collection of this aggregate information enables us to measure the number of visitors to various portions of the Site, diagnose problems with our server, administer the Site, and track visitor activity.

We also collect usage information regarding Test Administrator’s usage of the Site. This information may be reported to the Client User’s employer for business purposes, including billing and accounting.

“Cookies”

ExSel uses “cookies” to customize the session and facilitate a user-friendly experience. While certain nonpersonally identifiable information persists, no personally identifiable information, including user identification information, persists beyond your browser session. You must set your browser to enable “cookies” in order to use the Services provided via this Site. Failure to do so will prevent access to the Site.

How is the information used?

Information provided by Test Takers, including test scores and specific answers to specific questions, is collected, analyzed, and may be reported to Subscribing Organization that directed Test Taker to this Site. Test Takers are linked on the Site to a specific employer or potential employer by a unique identifier. Information about Test Takers’ results may be linked with performance data obtained from the employer and aggregated and anonymized for validating the test questions and results, marketing the Services to other employers, and other business purposes.

Failure to provide required information or answer test questions by a Test Taker may invalidate the test and be reported to the employer or potential employer that directed the Test Taker to this Site.

Information about Client Users may also be linked to information provided by the Client User’s employer and reported to the employer. We will use information provided by a Client User to contact the Client User regarding tests taken and results availability. LIMRA may occasionally use information supplied by Client Users to inform Client Users about new products and services that we believe they will find useful or interesting. At any time, Client Users may request that their information not be used for such purposes by sending an email to ExSel@limra.com (or see below for additional contact options).

We partner with third-parties to provide services to ExSel customers. We share some ExSel information, including personally identifiable information, that the third-parties need to provide these services. Such third-parties may only use this information to provide these services to ExSel users. Such third-parties are governed by their own privacy and security policies, which we review on an annual basis.

We may also provide information about you to third-parties in connection with a properly authorized subpoena, law enforcement request, order for discovery, or other legal process, or to detect, deter, and protect against potential or actual fraud, breach of the Agreement, or other misuse of the Services or this Site.

We may use aggregated, nonpersonally identifiable information, or other nonpersonal information for any legal business purpose, including, but not limited to, product development or marketing.

Information, including personally identifiable information, may be provided to an individual Client User or Test Taker to assist that individual Client User or Test Taker in accessing the Site.

Security

ExSel information is stored on a secure server. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software to encrypt and protect your information during transit.

Information in ExSel is password protected. As an ExSel user, you have an obligation to protect ExSel information from unauthorized access. Do not share ExSel Usernames and Passwords with anyone who should not have access to ExSel or to your computer. Be sure to exit ExSel when you are finished using it.

Internally, LIMRA restricts access to personally identifiable information to those employees who need the information to do their jobs. These employees are limited in number, and are committed to our privacy and security policies. We also employ a variety of mechanisms to help ensure that the data you provide is not lost, misused, or altered inappropriately. These controls include data confidentiality policies and regular database backups.

How can I change my information?

If you believe your personal information on the Site is not accurate and wish to change it, we will verify and, where appropriate, comply with your request. Please communicate your request via any of the communication channels listed under Contact Us, below.
